Rosh Chodesh (Update)
Our new women’s Rosh Chodesh group met for the first time on 29th May and had a very nice time. An evening shared with other Jewish women, eating a bit, talking about our children or grandchildren, thinking about our Jewish roots and comparing how we deal with insomnia! We welcomed the new month (Sivan) with a prayer and some thoughts on shul.
Our thanks go to Tracey for hosting the first meeting.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday 16th July as this date best suits those who attended the first meeting. Pedants might notice that’s its not exactly in the beginning of the month as Erev Rosh Chodesh Tammuz is 28th June. In fact we might have a choice of months to celebrate as Erev Rosh Chodesh Av is 27th July.
We will being having another bring & share supper, welcome the month, and (we think) our next topic could be: What I like best about being Jewish. It is likely to be held at the home of Ruth Seager. All women are welcome and any babies or toddlers who need to be with their mums can attend too.
Please let Ruth or the office know if you can make it or would like more details.
Look forward to seeing you there.
